Mayami Oyanagi, PT, MS, OCS

Physical Therapist

Mayami Oyanagi is a highly experienced Physical Therapist with 17 years of clinical expertise focusing on treating patients by addressing the root cause of their issues.

Her passions for physical therapy began with her own recovery from a low back injury at a young age, which ignited her commitment to improving the lives of others. When she was exposed to Postural Restoration Institute, her chronic low back pain and sciatica were resolved with just one technique. When she developed the symptoms such as anxiety, panic attacks, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which profoundly deepened her understanding of the intricate connections within the body - particularly how the nervous system interacts with
movements, posture, and overall health through Postural Restoration Institute.

She wascertified in Postural Restoration and continues to learn about our complex body through different perspectives. She believes that any pain and/or orthopedic issues should not be
treated as isolated problems. Instead, she approaches the body as an integrated system, addressing the underlying connections to achieve comprehensive and lasting improvements.

Her approach combines advanced techniques with a collaborative, multidisciplinary focus with dentists, neuro-optometrists, and orofacial myofunctional therapists, ensuring personalized care and exceptional outcomes. Her clients include multiple professional athletes, including Olympians and non-athletic patients with complex issues and different degrees of injuries.
